- His parents names were Abu Quhafa and Umm Khayr.
- They belonged to the tribe Banu Taym
- He believed in one God and does not like people worshiping idols.
- He was the rich trader, who used his money to make people set slaves free.
- He had titles like Siddeeq meaning extremely 'Truthful', and Ateeq which means 'Freed'.
